Consignment Contract
We accept pre-owned fine furnishings, antiques and home decorating accessories.
ITEMS: Items are consigned for 60 days, with a 10% markdown at 30 and then again at 60 days. After 60 days consigners must pick up and remove unsold items, all items left after 60 days become the property of Four Corners Brick House and may be sold, discarded or donated at the discretion of the Brick House.
SALES: Consignees will be provided with a full detailed accounting of sales, along with a check for net proceeds after deduction for consignment. The Brick House will receive 30% of the selling price as a service charge and the consignor will receive 70% of the selling price. Checks will be held for pick up at the sales counter, if you wish checks mailed please provide SASE with your account number on the bottom left hand corner and leave them at the sales counter. Checks are available after the 15th of the month for the proceeding month.
MERCHANDISE: The Four Corners Brick House has exclusive prerogative to determine if merchandise is appropriate for sale. All items must be clean and/or polished. We cannot accept chipped or broken items. Items are accepted by appointment.
PAYMENT: The Four Corners Brick House accepts cash, check and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) as means of payment for all items sold.
SECURITY/RISK: Consignee will assume full responsibility for loss or damage to merchandise on display. The Brick House recognizes that theft can be a problem, therefore electronic alarm and video camera security is in use. The management at the Brick House will make every effort to prevent loss and damage to merchandise; however consignees agree that all merchandise displayed by them at the Brick House is done so at their own sole risk. The Brick House assumes NO responsibility for loss or damage to dealer’s property.
Liability: The consignee agrees to be solely responsible for his contract and all acts of his agents and employees, and releases the Four Corners Brick House from all claims for theft and damage to person or property from any cause whatsoever during the occupancy on the premises. The consignee assumes full responsibility for injuries to him or herself, his employees or agents, and will indemnify owners against any claim for injury.
